Here's a thread to talk about your prayer requests and praises too! I ask that each member posting on this board try to give us the low-down when posted prayer requests are answered and generally keep us up to date! Don't forget that all viewers of this board are welcome to pray for these, I know I will be!

Well I think you have better knowledge of her condition than I do! I was actually reminding you but go ahead and explain because, well, I don't talk much.

ok, Mackenzie Embree is a little girl that Varda and i know who has had seizures(sp?) since she was really young, but she only had them occasionally. Over the holiday break, she started having them like every 5 min. and has had more than enough to equal a stroke! she's only 9-10 yrs. old! last i heard was that they admitted her to Children's Mercy Hospital and put her into a medicine induced coma to allow her brain to rest, but yesterday i heard someone telling her brother (who is in my class) that they had to lower her medication and she came out of the coma...this is a serious prayer request and i hope that those who read this take it to heart...

I talked to Mack's aunt this morning and she said that what Mack has gone through, or what her body has gone through, is equal a person full out running, the kind of running that makes an out of shape person breathless in 3 min., and never stopping to rest or eat for several days! and they don't start jogging or slowing down in any way either...that's what her body is going through and if the seizures don't stop, she'll die pretty soon...it's all up to God!

ok, Mack went from Jan. 16th (the Sat. she got home) 'til i think Fri. the 21st without a single seizure! Hooray!! i heard that she's had a few since then but not like before! One more thing, her mom talked to a specialist from St. Louis, Mo. and he/she said to take Mack to Cleveland (what they were originally going to do) even though she is doing better. The improvement is only because of the medication she is taking and when they lower that, she will be right back to where she started..
Thanx guys and gals for your prayers and please keep praying!';D

Last night my cousin, the only one close to my age in my fam., pulled a stupid stunt. He jumped off a trampoline as high as he could and landed on solid ground breaking his right leg in about 3-maybe 4 fractures, some of them compound...for those of you who may not know: a compound fracture is where the bone actually comes out through the skin..sickening! Anyways, they put a steel rod in last night in a 3 hour surgery and he is doing better, but it really worried me! Poor guy!
The moral of the story is, never jump as high as you can when going from a trampoline to the not-so-elastic ground!

I do that every time I get off a trampoline…I guess I should stop!

daredevil!!!!!!!!!!!!! i don't do that cause i'm terrified of hights.. in a way.. otherwise, i probably would! anyways, he's doing better! it turns out that he had 3 fractures (all in his calf); one in the bigger bone and 2 in the smaller one. The bigger one went through the skin and he ended up having a whole in the side of his leg the size of a person's palm.. but no skin graphs were needed and i think they're going to do one more surgery to check for infection.. i pray it goes well and that he'll walk normally again..
